Mrs. Kendra Byers
Mrs. Kendra Byers
Mrs. Byers will be the lead teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. She has been teaching elementary students for the last 14 years and has a passion for teaching struggling readers.
Mrs. Byers' educational background includes an elementary education degree at Pittsburg State University. In 2014, she received a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from William Woods University.
Mrs. Byers has been married since 2012 to her husband Matthew. They have two children, Reed and Reese. In her free time, she enjoys family time and being on her family farm.
Her favorite verse is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."
MISS KATIE JOHNSON
Miss Johnson will serve as the Teacher Assistant for the 2026–2027 school year. She currently holds an Associate Degree in Teaching and is continuing her education online through Western Governors University (WGU), where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.
Miss Johnson has a passion for working with children.She is grateful for the opportunity to share her faith and incorporate conversations about Jesus in the classroom in a meaningful way. Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God,” which serves as a reminder to trust God’s guidance and remain grounded in his presence.
